Quix is a character from a species called "Kixel". These are computer programs that can act on their own, like a living being. In Quix's case, he's also possessed by a monster that can interact with digital beings. This grants Quix a double-personality, but also makes him unstable.
Quix looks like a cartoony animal at first, with big hands and feet.
He has ears that resemble one of a cat, but no tail.
Quix appears pixelated when he's in the real world, the amount of pixels
depends on the computer he's in. The faster the computer, the more pixels
he has.
Quix is mischievous and likes to play games, pranks and mess with others in general. Quix has the power to jump between the digital and natural realms, allowing it to physically appear in real life (in their universe) as well as the digital world.
It can travel the internet and go anywhere it wants.
Like every other Kixel, Quix started off as a little blob of pixels that
looked similar to the character that Tost gave him. Kixels in this stage
are not very strong, and they resemble an abstract version of their sprites
use. They have to be taken care of and it takes a few weeks for a Kixel to
fully develop. Kixels act purely based on their data.
Quix was raised by Tost. After growing up, he started to spend his time on
various parts of the internet and the real world. He sometimes visits Tost
too.
