Quix originates from an old virtual pet game called Digital Cats. The game was a total failure and never sold well, until one day a genius got his hands on the game.

After starting his experiments on reality-bending matter, Dr. Felix adopted Quix, gave it an algorithm and used his knowledge about digital forms to give the blue cat a real body. With these upgrades, Quix became the perfect little helper the doctor could ask for.

Quix helped the doctor with his research, explored deadly areas with ease thanks to its form and accompanied him at all times. But after arguing with his research partner and abandoning the project, Felix left the Second Dimension and took Quix with him. He started a new life, and let Quix be his son Delly's friend.

After the doctor disappeared without a trace, Quix looked after his son and searched for him together but their efforts were deemed unsuccessful... Until they came across a mysterious figure.
